So You Think You Can Dance: Top 10 Results

Well, Jaimie, we knew it wasn't gonna last forever. But we'll miss your incredible ability to do standing splits which contort your body in crazy ways (see photo at right).

That's right, folks. At the end of Thursday's show, we said goodbye to Jaimie and Kameron. There wasn't much of a surprise when Cat informed us all that it was Kam's last moment in the sun. There was a tiny nagging doubt in my mind that the dance which brought Jaimie down might also have send Dominic to the curb, but thankfully he will dance another day. I'm pleased by that. He's got the best personality on the show (funny and humble) and he has shown steady improvement (except for the huge hiccup of this week's Man of La Mancha nightmare in yellow). Here's hoping he gets back on the horse next week!

The night began with a Mia Michaels dance where everyone wore skanky black clothes and black hair, which along with the camera work made them pretty anonymous (except for Danny, who was front and center and shirt-free). It was pretty cool, really. I liked the part where the girls all ran at the guys and jumped on them (is that her signature move now? She did already employ it in Lacey and Kameron's week 1 stunner of a dance).

I actually quite liked Our Cat's look tonight. Her dress was sort of raggedy ballerina, and the (dried?) flowers in her loose updo were pretty. I like her hair best when it's down, but last night's overall look wasn't bad.

For Cat, it was downright excellent. She does have a tendency to rock some awful frocks, so I give her a thumbs up.

Back to the dancing. We had a bottom four tonight, and they still had to dance solos even though they didn't matter. Ladies were first, and Jaimie and Lauren were in the bottom two. Now, I didn't love Lauren's hip-hop with Pasha last night, but the judges did, so I think it's a bad sign for her that she was in the bottom 2. Her solo was better than her previous one, but not all that fantastic. Neither, though, was Jaimie's. I wasn't too fussed about which of these ladies was sent packing, so it wasn't exactly a nail-biter for me.

For the boys, we had Dominic and Kameron. I definitely didn't want Dominic to go yet, and I think that his fantastic and electrifying solo shows that he deserves to stick around. Luckily, he did. Poor Kameron. Well, at least he won't have to stand next to and listen to the judges wax poetic about her and then in the next breath call him a prop or an amateur or . That's kind of a relief for all of us. It was getting pretty bad.

Oh, yeah. And there was a performance by Mika, of whom I've never heard (but then, I live under a rock). Didn't the performance seem a little out of place in this show. It seemed like so much filler when it wasn't there to entertain the kids while the judges were having their powwow. Oh well. At least it wasn't Hilary Duff making a herculean effort to appear interested in her own song (and failing). We should count our blessings.
